Leister Park

I am linking up with Skywatch Friday  and Good Fences
I hope you can join in on the fun and share your fence scenes and pretty skies.

For this week's Good Fence and Skywatch Friday memes I am sharing some scenes from our walk in the local Leister Park in Hampstead Md. The most common bird seen on our walk was the Brown Thrasher. There were also a lot of Gray Catbirds and American Robins, Crows, Eastern Bluebirds and lots of Barn Swallows flying over the fields.

One of the many Brown Thrashers we saw during our walk.

A Queen Anne's Lace sky.

Brown Thrasher and a Gray Catbird off to the right.

For Tex's Good Fences, I am sharing my mosiac of fences. Above top row: American Crows, juvenile Eastern Bluebird, three Bluebirds. Bottom row a fence shot, Eastern Kingbird on fence and a Song Sparrow.

It was a pretty summer day for a walk on the trail. Pretty puffy white clouds, low humidity we could not ask for a better day for a walk.

American Robins were seen all along the trail.

For both memes the photo above show the fence between the trail and ball field and the sky is looking pretty too.

Another photo for my Skywatch Friday, I took this shot of the moon later that evening. I hope you enjoyed my post and images. Thanks for stopping by and for the nice comments.

To see more pretty skies from around the world please visit  Skywatch Friday

Thanks to Theresa @ The Run*A*Round Ranch for hosting Good Fences and thanks to Sylvia, Yogi  and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday.    I wish everyone a happy day and weekend ahead..

  25. I love the way your robin posed so perfectly in front of the underside of the branch so there would be a pleasant contrast in your photo! The little Thrasher is really kind of a "plain Jane" compared to some you have captured, but she doesn't seem to notice! She goes about her life, just doing what she needs to do, minding her own business. People could learn a LOT from sweet little birds like her!

  26. Excellent moon shots, someday I'll master that too. I hope. All lovely captures, but most favorite is the fence between the field and ball park, how lovely of a place to be.

  28. OMW Eileen, the Brown Thrasher reminds me of the Chatterer we had in Kenya - nostalgia for good birding in the Great Rift Valley.

Brown Thrashers and Catbirds are both new to me. Very pretty birds. Love the Queen Anne's Lace too. As for the fences, I always wonder how birds manage to look comfortable on the ones with wire sticking above the top rail. I guess they fit between :)
