Outside my window

I am linking up with  Green Day and Camera Critters and I'd-Rather-B-Birdin.

Happy Weekend! This is a big weekend for my hometown of Baltimore and our football team the Ravens. Baltimore is proud of their football team and I wish them good luck in the Superbowl. GO RAVENS!!!!

My post this week is all about the birds just outside my window. I love that I can sit at my computer and look out my window and watch the birds. Here are a few that were here last weekend and during the week.

I leave the bird seed all along my deck railing for the Pine Siskins and American Goldfinches.

The White Breasted Nuthatch is a daily feeder and seen year round.

The Song Sparrow has been another daily visitor lately. He/She seems to be hanging around with some White-throated Sparrows in my yard.

The cute Dark-eyed Junco is one of my winter visitors.

One of my many Goldfinches and an evil-eye Cardinal. She does look a little grumpy to me! I like how this shot shows the size comparison between the Goldie and the Cardinal.

One of my favorites, the Red-Breasted Nuthatch with a clean window.

Excuse the dirty window, up close is the Downy woodpecker and a Carolina Wren sharing the same feeder. Usually, I try to keep my birdie window clean but with the wind, rain and snow lately it is has been difficult.

I hope you enjoyed the views outside my window.

  6. Hi Eileen! I also love to see the birds coming on my feeder. But your visitors show more variety than mine.I have sparrows, crows, blue tits, great tits and coal tits. Your photos are so beautiful, even if they were shot from behind the window!

  7. Looks like your setup is alot like mine Eileen! I also can sit in my easy chair on the computer, and watch the birds right outside my slider window, with a railing just like yours, and suet feeders too. Many of the same birds have visited my feeders in the past, with the exception of the Cardinal, which we don't have here in Washington. Your nuthatch pics are my favorite today.
